Registered Nurse — Medical Surgical

Overview

Travel/contract role in Wilmington, North Carolina
Night shift
36 or 48 hours accepted
13–26 week contract
Unit accepts first-time travelers

Unit Details

Neuro unit with a general medicine focus on neuro
Patient ratio: 1:6
Travelers float first
Weekend requirement: 5–6 weekend shifts
Manager schedules
Unit orientation: 24 hours
Scrubs: navy blue

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred

NIH
Neuro experience
Experience or willingness to learn the charge nurse role

Additional Notes

RTO after booking is not allowed
RTO on unit may result in cancellation and DNR
Contract staff may be required to work during a storm, hurricane, mass casualty, or disaster event
Consolidation to a centralized office mid-contract may occur
Candidates may be pre-assigned to units as needed
