Adult psychiatric unit
48 beds across 3 units
Patient ratio: 1:10
May float to a senior care unit
No on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Psychiatric (1 year of experience)
Psychiatric experience within the last year
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with de-escalation of patients with mental illness

Preferred

Behavioral health experience

Typical Responsibilities

Admissions and discharges
Ongoing assessments for suicidality and safety
Nurse rounding to ensure patient safety and needs are met
