Interventional Radiology Contract Job
Overview
- Contract role
- Specialty: Cardiology
- Shift: 10-hour day shift
- Hours per week: 40
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Interventional Radiology (1 year of experience)
- Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- ARRT
Preferred Qualifications
- Neuro interventional radiology experience is strongly preferred for RT(R)
- AAA intervention experience preferred
- EPIC experience preferred for RNs
- Siemens and GE equipment experience preferred
- Comfort with charging/coding for procedures preferred for RT(R)
Clinical Setting
- Adult-only interventional radiology department
- 5 rooms
- Approximately 40–50 patients per day
- Department staffed 24/7
- No floating
Schedule and Call
- Weekend rotation includes call
- Weekday call is typically 1 shift per week
- Weekend call is approximately every 5th weekend for RT(R) and every 5th or 6th weekend for RN
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- No holidays currently, though this may change
- Overnight postings do not include call
Orientation
- 1–2 weeks with a preceptor
Unit Support
- Two coordinators
- Two lead techs
- Two techs per exam room, with a third when needed for complex cases
- Respiratory therapy available 24/7
- Hospitalist available 24/7
- CNA/transporter available 24/7
Equipment and Technology
- EMR: EPIC
- IV pumps: Alaris
- Medication dispensing: Pyxis
- PACS: Change Healthcare
- Equipment includes Siemens, GE, MedRad injector, IVUS, ultrasound, laser, Bovie, and Angiojet
