• Scheduled shifts listed: 0700-1930, 1100-2330, 2300-0700

Unit Overview

• 29-bed adult medical-surgical unit
• Patient mix includes orthopedic trauma, vascular, urology, neuro-spine, OB/GYN oncology, and acute medical patients
• Telemetry techs monitor strips; nurses do not need to read strips

Required Qualifications

• Active RN role
• BLS certification
• 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience
• Ability to titrate drips using a prescribed nomogram

Responsibilities / Clinical Expectations

• Manage patients with heparin and occasional nitro, bivalirudin, Cardizem, and insulin drips
• Float to other adult medical/surgical nursing units
• Work with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy; no vents

Schedule Requirements

• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday
• No call or standby
• Charge nurse takes an assignment
• Facility clock-in and clock-out required

Orientation

• 1 day of computer training
• 1-2 precepted floor orientation

Additional Notes

• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local rate
• If the clinician has ever worked for this facility, there must be a 6-month gap before submission
