RN - Emergency Dept

Job Overview

Location: Englewood, Colorado
Employment type: Travel
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
NIHSS
PALS
CPI

Preferred Experience

Experience working in a large hospital setting
Prior Meditech experience

Unit Details

Emergency department with 18 beds
Typical staffing includes 2 day-shift RNs, 2 night-shift RNs, and some mid-shift coverage
Usual patient ratio is about 4:1, depending on acuity

Common Procedures / Responsibilities

IVs
EKGs
Foley catheters and splints
Wound infiltration and wound care
Medication administration and assessments

Fast-paced setting
Team-oriented and calm approach preferred

Expanded support resources include respiratory therapy, house supervisor coverage, med/surg and ICU floor support, full lab services, and on-site radiology including CT, MRI, echo, x-ray, and ultrasound
