Description

Registered Nurse, Med/Surg

Location: Gardner, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 32-hour evening shift, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, every other weekend and holiday

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in Massachusetts
  • Med Surg (1 year of experience)
  • Med Surg experience within the last year
  • ACLS

Preferred Experience

  • 1 year of Med/Surg experience
  • 1 year of Telemetry experience
  • 1 year of Pediatrics experience
  • PALS preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
  • Administer medications and intravenous therapy
  • Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation and document findings
  • Provide patient and family teaching, including discharge preparation
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate patient status to the care team
  • Support surgical patient care, including pain management and equipment setup/troubleshooting
