RN - Labor and Delivery
Job Overview
- Location: Austin, Texas
- Employment type: Travel
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Schedule: Rotating weekends
- Call: No call requirements
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- NRP
- AWHONN
Unit Details
- Labor and Delivery unit
- 32 beds
- Typical patient ratio: 1:2
- Common procedures include vaginal deliveries, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLAC
Preferred Qualifications
- EFM competency
- SVE competency
- C-section circulation competency
- Internal monitor placement competency
- Experience in a Level IV unit
- Previous employment or assignment with HCA
Work Environment
- Team-oriented, positive attitude preferred
- Navy blue scrubs required
- T-shirts are not acceptable; only solid blue, black, or gray sweatshirts are allowed
- Attendance policy must be followed
