Description

PCU Travel/Contract RN Job

Location

  • Pocatello, Idaho

Schedule

  • Night shift
  • 3x12-hour schedule
  • 36 hours per week

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Unit Overview

  • Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry unit
  • 24 beds
  • Typical staffing ratio: 1:3 or 1:4
  • Comprehensive stroke center
  • Level II Trauma
  • Chest Pain Accredited
  • Cares for complex PCI and open-heart surgery patients

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Idaho
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS
  • Drivers License/State ID
  • E-Verify
  • 7-year background check
  • Education verification
  • State license verification
  • NURSYS verification
  • 7-year work history verification
  • Complete application/resume
  • Unit-specific skills checklist
  • Color blind testing
  • Competency exam
  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit test within 1 year of start
  • Tdap within 10 years of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
  • TB questionnaire if prior TB results are positive
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunization/titer documentation
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
  • Photo for badge

Additional Notes

  • 100-mile radius rule applies; no local candidates
  • Fingerprinting is required onsite during orientation for New Mexico placements only
