Description
Surgical Room RN
Overview
- Contract role
- 13 weeks
- 40 hours per week
- 8-hour day shift
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- OR Circulate experience with 2 years of experience
- OR Circulate experience within the last year
- BLS
- CSA
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- OB/GYN experience
- Orthopedics experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- CNOR certification
- Scrub experience
Case Mix
- Orthopedics, gynecology, and general surgery are the top case types
- Additional cases include bariatrics, plastics, urology, and selected gynecologic procedures
- DaVinci XI robotics experience is required for robotic cases
- Stryker Mako is used for total joint cases
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 0630-1500
- Weekend rotation based on unit needs
- Call is based on unit needs
- Does not flex before 0600
Orientation
- 3 to 5 days of orientation
- First day includes meeting with leadership and educator, then time with a preceptor
- Remaining orientation days are on the unit with a preceptor
Floating
- May float to inpatient units to perform tasks or act as a sitter when census is low
- Optional float locations are available
Additional Notes
- Scrubs are provided
- Free parking is available
