Description
Labor and Delivery RN
Location
- Asheville, North Carolina
Job Type

- 36 hours per week

Unit Overview
- Labor and delivery unit
- 16 beds
- Patient ratios: 1:1 and 1:2
- Floating may include MFMU/MOMB/NICU
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
- Experience working with High Risk patients
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- Immediate newborn care experience
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
- ACLS
- AWHONN
- BLS
- NRP
Preferred Qualifications
- Circulating experience
Typical Procedures
- Vaginal deliveries
- Cesarean sections
- D&C
- Cerclage
- C-hyst
Work Environment
- Day and night shift teams include charge nurse, PCT, CST, and RN
- Equipment includes Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring

- Scrubs are provided
- Weekends and on-call are not required, but may be available upon approval
