EP Lab Registered Nurse

Job Overview

• Location: Rochester, New York
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Hours per week: 40
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Electrophysiology Lab (2 years of experience)
• Electrophysiology Lab experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Key Clinical Skills

• Electrophysiology lab procedures
• Cardiac ablation and mapping
• Cardioversion and conduction studies
• AICD insertion/programming
• Pacemaker insertion
• Scrub procedures
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Sheath removal and monitoring
• Blood product administration
• Implanted port care and maintenance
• ACT monitoring
• Circulate procedures
• Use of topical hemostasis and vascular closure systems

Schedule Notes

• No weekends, holidays, or call
• Block scheduling may be accommodated, but is not guaranteed
• No local candidates within 75 miles
• More than 1 week of requested time off is not allowed during the contract

• EPIC experience is required
• Scrubs are provided
