Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
- Telemetry experience
- Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications such as nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutrex, insulin drip, heparin, bumex, or Lasix
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with prostacyclins
- Relief charge experience
Unit Details
- 40-bed cardiac progressive care unit
- Patient population includes CHF, MI, chest pain, arrhythmia, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, DKA, and post-cardiac cath/stent, pacer/ICD, and ablation patients
- Typical procedures include bedside cardioversion
