Description
Home Health RN
Overview
- Location: Tucson, Arizona
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day, 5x8s, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Setting: Home health
Role Summary
- Provides and coordinates home nursing care based on physician orders and agency policies.
- Directly supervises and evaluates home health aides and LPN/LVNs.
- Typical caseload is 5–8 patients per day.
- Travel is required for home visits and periodic office meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Home Health experience
- 1 year of Home Health experience within the last year
- Hospice experience
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience with Homecare Homebase
- Experience with OASIS
- Driver's License
- Reliable transportation
- Agency-required liability insurance
Work Expectations
- Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic.
- Estimated weekly travel is 150–200 miles.
- On-call is required every 3–4 weeks.
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
Charting
- HomeCare HomeBase proficiency is required and must have been used within the last 6 months.
- OASIS proficiency is required for RNs.
Additional Notes
- Scrubs are the dress code.
- No guaranteed hours.
