Description

Home Health RN

Overview

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day, 5x8s, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Setting: Home health

Role Summary

Provides and coordinates home nursing care based on physician orders and agency policies.
Directly supervises and evaluates home health aides and LPN/LVNs.
Typical caseload is 5–8 patients per day.
Travel is required for home visits and periodic office meetings.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Home Health experience
1 year of Home Health experience within the last year
Hospice experience
One completed travel assignment
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience with Homecare Homebase
Experience with OASIS
Driver's License
Reliable transportation
Agency-required liability insurance

Work Expectations

Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic.
Estimated weekly travel is 150–200 miles.
On-call is required every 3–4 weeks.
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.

Charting

HomeCare HomeBase proficiency is required and must have been used within the last 6 months.
OASIS proficiency is required for RNs.

Additional Notes

Scrubs are the dress code.
No guaranteed hours.
