Overview

Role Summary

• Provides care for patients with critical or life-threatening illness.
• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status.
• Administers prescribed cardiac medications and telemetry-approved drips.
• Assists with emergency and elective cardioversions and temporary pacemaker insertion.
• May float to other units based on hospital needs; if floated outside skillset, duties are helping hands only.
• Works with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Telemetry experience within the last year.
• 1 year of telemetry experience.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Primary source verification of professional license and/or certification.
• MGB Dysrhythmia Exam with a passing score of 80%.
• Resume including the past 7 years of work experience.
• 2 references within the past 4 years, including at least 1 supervisor or above in the skillset.
• Completed skills checklist within 1 year of submission.

Onboarding / Compliance Requirements

• MGB badge photo.
• Fit test for N95 within 365 days of start date, with annual updates.
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation, if fit test is required for the skill.
• MMR documentation or proof of immunity.
• TB test documentation within 3 months of start date.
• Health statement signed by an MD, DO, NP, or PA.
• Criminal background check.
• Massachusetts CORI check.
• Education verification.
• SSN trace.
• National sex offender check.
• Exclusion checks.
• Confirmation of Assignment/POI form.
• Beeline attestation.
