Description
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Location
Fort Wayne, Indiana
Contract Length
13 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week
- 3 out of 4 weekends required
Work Setting
- Labor and delivery unit
- Floating between two locations based on need
- Care includes laboring patients, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and couplet care
Required Qualifications
- Active Indiana or compact RN license
- 2+ years of labor and delivery experience
- 2+ years of circulating C-section experience
- BLS through AHA
- ACLS through AHA
- NRP
- STABLE
Unit Details
- Typically 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- May be 1:2 for early labor or induction
- 1:3 for couplet care
Additional Notes
- Hospital-provided scrubs
- Local travelers within 50 miles are subject to a reduced local rate
- 8 hours of non-billable orientation
- Call-off or cancellation may occur up to 24 hours per 13-week assignment
