Description

OR Registered Nurse

Location

Savannah, Georgia

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
  • 10-hour shifts starting between 6:00 and 6:30 AM
  • Call is required: one weekday per week and one weekend every 5 weeks
  • Call response time: 30 minutes

Setting

  • Operating room
  • 19 suites
  • Average daily volume: 30–40 cases
  • Main service lines: orthopedics, neurology, general, and vascular
  • May float between two main operating rooms at the hospitals, but not to ambulatory surgery

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in Georgia
  • BLS
  • OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
  • OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • Meditech charting system experience
  • Scrubbing capability
  • Neurology experience
  • Vascular Surgery experience
  • Orthopedic Surgery experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Meditech experience
  • Scrubbing experience

Additional Requirements

  • No local candidates within 100 miles
  • No license hits; a current NURSYS report must be included with submission
  • Full availability, including all requested time off
  • Start date must align with compliance timelines
  • Current references in the same specialty/modality
  • Resume must include number of beds and trauma level for all facilities worked in the past 3 years
  • Resume must include employment type for each role
  • If PRN, resume must include number of shifts worked per month

Work Environment

  • Smoke-free campus
  • Faith-based hospital

Orientation

  • Weekly orientation
  • Monday starts only, or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday

Scrubs

  • Scrubs are not provided
  • Required colors: ceil blue or navy blue
