Registered Nurse — Orthopedic/Neurology Unit

• 36 hours per week

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule Requirements

• Every other weekend and holiday
• May be required to float to other units

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• NIHSS
• BLS
• Neurology experience within the last year
• 1 year of neurology experience
• Orthopedics experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state practice laws
• Document care according to standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care, including patient and family instruction
• Participate in unit or department performance improvement activities
• Use clinical expertise to support other units or departments as needed
• Apply critical thinking to patient safety and patient experience concerns
