Description

MS/Tele RN

Location

  • Chesapeake, Virginia

Job Type

  • Travel/Contract

Specialty

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • 3x12 hours or 4x12 hours
  • Every other weekend, floating, and holidays are required
  • Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays

Assignment Details

  • 28-bed unit
  • Cares for orthopedic, spinal surgery, bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, Level III trauma, and medical-surgical overflow patients as census permits
  • Unit can monitor up to 8 telemetry patients
  • Typical patient ratio is 1:7

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Virginia
  • Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic

Required Certifications

  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association

Additional Notes

  • Longer assignments through January 9, 2027, are available but not required
  • Candidates should be comfortable with the patient ratios before submission
