Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

Job Overview

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Washington
  • Post Partum (2 years of experience)
  • Post Partum experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Clinical Expectations

  • Care for postpartum vaginal and cesarean delivery patients
  • Support tubal ligation and circumcision cases
  • Provide care for GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery patients
  • Perform blood and blood product administration
  • Manage drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vacs
  • Administer heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
  • Provide OB-GYN and post-op care, including post-vaginal delivery and postpartum readmit care
  • Provide normal newborn care, including thermoregulation and glucose management

Scheduling and Work Conditions

  • Floating may be required to NICU or L&D
  • Weekends are required to meet staffing needs
