RN Ambulatory Outpatient

Job Overview

• Contract role
• 36 hours per week
• Day shift
• Schedule: Tuesday through Friday
• Will be assigned to specific locations and may float to other clinics as needed
• Will follow a specific provider

Setting

• Outpatient clinic
• Patient population includes adults and pediatrics
• Focus areas include allergy, immunology, asthma/pulmonary, pediatric food allergies, seasonal allergies, and drug allergies
• Average daily census: 16–24 patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of clinic experience
• Clinic experience within the last year
• BLS
• Immunology - Allergy experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Allergy clinic experience
• IV skills
• Spirometry experience

Key Responsibilities

• Triage and phone triage
• Room patients
• Administer injections
• Take vitals
• Review medications and history
• Complete allergy reviews and allergy questionnaires
• Handle medication refill requests

Work Environment

• Fast-paced clinic
• Flexibility and adaptability are important
• Support includes multiple RNs, front desk patient service reps, and daily manager/supervisor availability

Schedule Details

• No weekend rotation
• No call
• Holiday coverage not expected
• Shift times: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 5:30 PM
• Orientation: 1 week, with possible additional time based on skillset
