Description

ICU RN Travel Contract

Overview

  • Location: Roanoke, Virginia
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (6:45 PM–7:15 AM)
  • Contract length: 26 weeks
  • Scheduling: May require every-other-weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week block; one holiday per 13-week contract
  • Floating: May float multiple times per shift, including between PCU and MS units

Role Summary

  • RN for PCU/MS float coverage
  • Must be comfortable working all PCU and MS units
  • Experience includes telemetry and stepdown-level care, with cardiovascular experience in pre/post cardiac cath settings

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Virginia
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Blood product administration experience
  • Central line care experience
  • Trach management experience
  • Non-invasive airway support experience including nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP, and chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac)
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation and management experience
  • Titrating cardiac drips experience
  • Rapid Response/Code team response experience
  • PCA protocol management experience
  • Heparin protocol management experience
  • Endocrine/metabolic condition management experience
  • Experience with Epic
