Job Overview

Location: Largo, Maryland

Required Qualifications

Valid Maryland RN license
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
1 year of CVICU experience
CVICU experience within the last year

Schedule Requirements

Every other weekend required
Holidays required as scheduled
Floating required within the specialty, including IMC and lower-acuity areas as needed

Unit Details

Adult and geriatric patient population
Average daily census: 6
8 beds on the unit
Typical ratio: 1:2 in CVICU/CCRU; 1:3 if floated to IMC

Clinical Focus

Immediate post-op cardiac surgery care
Vent management with respiratory therapy
FloTrac
CRRT
IABP
Impella
Groin/radial artery management
