Critical Care Float

Location

Shift

Night shift
3x12 hours
7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Schedule

Every other weekend

Unit Coverage / Floating

Float within skill set as needed to ICU, CCU, CTICU, and Step Down
May also float to holding areas, including the ED for admitted ICU patients awaiting a bed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Jersey
Critical Care Float (1.5 years of experience)
Critical Care Float experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
1.5 or more years of acute care experience related to the position
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
CCU - Coronary Care experience
CTICU - Cardiothoracic Intensive Care experience
Stepdown experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Swan Ganz catheters
Exposure to IABP, Impella, and VAD devices
Previous CTICU or medical cardiology experience

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are accepted
Navy blue scrubs required
