RN Ambulatory Outpatient

Job Overview

• Contract role
• 40 hours per week
• Rotating schedule across multiple clinic locations
• Assigned to specific sites and may float to others as needed
• Follows a specific provider

Specialty Area

• Allergy/immunology outpatient clinic
• Adult and pediatric patients
• Patient mix includes allergy, immunology, asthma/pulmonary, pediatric food allergies, seasonal allergies, and drug allergies
• Average daily census: 16–24 patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Clinic (1 year of experience)
• Clinic experience within the last year
• BLS
• Immunology - Allergy experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Allergy clinic experience
• EPIC Ambulatory familiarity
• IV skills
• Spirometry experience

Key Responsibilities

• Triage and phone triage
• Room patients
• Administer injections
• Take vitals
• Review medications and history
• Complete allergy reviews and allergy questionnaires
• Handle medication refill requests

Work Environment

• Fast-paced clinic
• Flexible and adaptable
• Comfortable working with pediatric patients

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• No weekend rotation
• No call
• Holiday coverage not expected

Orientation

• 1 week, with additional time possible based on skillset

Additional Details

• Up to 5 days of requested time off may be approved
