Description

Registered Nurse — Behavioral Health

Overview

Travel/contract role in Roanoke, Virginia
Night shift: 4x12 hours, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
13-week contract
12-bed inpatient unit serving adult patients with complex medical conditions, co-occurring behavioral health needs, and substance use disorders

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Behavioral Health (1 year of experience)
Behavioral Health experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association
CPI
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg experience
Experience with Epic

Schedule and Work Expectations

May work every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
May be required to float within skillset
May be required to work as charge and to precept
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Unit Focus

Care includes assessment, stabilization, treatment, medication management, behavioral support, and discharge planning
Works with physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and addiction specialists
Emphasis on patient safety, recovery-oriented treatment, and transitions to community-based services

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are not accepted
Locals are accepted
RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be included with submission
