Description
Behavioral Health Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Roanoke, Virginia
- Night shift: 3x12s, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
- 26-week assignment
- Adult inpatient unit with medical-surgical, behavioral health, and substance use care
- May be required to float within skillset
- May be required to work charge and precept
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Psychiatric experience with 1 year of experience
- Psychiatric experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- CPI
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Peripheral line care and management
- Non-invasive airway management
- Med Surg experience
- Rapid Response experience
- Experience with Epic
Scheduling
- 1:6 patient ratio
- Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week block
- Up to 26 weeks available by request
- 4x12 schedule available by request
- One holiday required per 13-week contract
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- All RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be included with submission

Compliance / Onboarding
- Driver’s license or state ID required within 48 hours of signing

- 7-year background check required

- Fit test within 1 year of start and updated annually
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire required
- Drug screen within 30 days of start
- 2 clinical references required

- Access and confidentiality agreement required within 48 hours of signing
