MRI Technologist

Overview

• Contract clinician role in Chapel Hill, North Carolina
• 13-week assignment
• 34 hours per week
• 11-hour day shifts

What you’ll do

• Perform high-quality MRI studies and operate imaging equipment
• Screen patients for contraindications and support patient safety
• Explain MRI procedures to patients and address concerns
• Communicate with radiologists and other customers as needed
• Train new technologists and/or patient coordinators when assigned
• Troubleshoot scanner and related equipment to help prevent downtime or delays in care

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• BLS CPR certification through the American Heart Association
• ARRT (R)
• Venipuncture certification
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable
• State license, as required
• At least 1 year of MR experience in high-volume environments preferred

Preferred qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
• ARRT (MR)
• Technical proficiency with GE 1.5T or other designated vendor scanning equipment
• Ability to run advanced MR studies independently
• Ability to work in a self-directed environment
• Experience managing customer interactions independently and resolving problems
• Strong patient communication skills
