Registered Nurse
Assignment Overview
- Location: Chesapeake, Virginia
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Specialty: MedSurg Neuro & Stroke
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- Schedule options: 3x12s or 4x12s
- Typical patient ratio: 1:7
- Longer assignments through January 9, 2027 are available
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- Driver's License
- Neurology experience
- Stroke experience
- Experience with Epic
Required Certifications
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- NIHSS
Schedule Expectations
- Every other weekend, floating, and holidays within the contract are required
- Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays
Additional Notes
- Epic proficiency required
- Candidates must be fully pre-closed and comfortable with the patient ratio before submission
- RN candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be accepted
