Description

Registered Nurse — MS/Tele

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Winston Salem, North Carolina
  • Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:45–07:15
  • 36 hours per week
  • Floating required to other med/surg units/floors
  • Every other weekend required
  • Unit is fast-paced

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • 2 or more completed travel assignments
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • IV start skill

Preferred

  • Telemetry experience

Assignment Details

  • Target patient ratio is 1:6, with occasional 1:7 due to staffing needs
  • Unit accepts 13-week assignments or longer
  • Orientation is 36 hours
  • Scrubs: navy and/or white

Clinical Setting

  • Med/surg unit with GI-focused patients, including GI conditions, blood loss/anemia, infections, renal patients, and post-GI surgery patients
  • Includes 10 telemetry beds for cardiac rhythm monitoring
