Respiratory Therapist, NICU

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Cincinnati, Ohio
  • 13-week assignment
  • Day shift, 3x12 hours
  • 36 hours per week
  • Pediatric/neonatal critical care setting
  • First-time travelers are accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU with 2 years of experience
  • Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • State license verification required
  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Social Security card
  • Proof of E-Verify or attestation
  • Transcript, diploma, or education verification
  • Minimum 2 professional references from former supervisors or professional co-workers
  • Application must include 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting and in a similar area to the assignment

Schedule Expectations

  • Nights are listed in the source description, but the shift details specify day shift
  • Every other Friday and Monday at minimum
  • Every other weekend and holidays
  • No block scheduling unless weekends only (Friday-Sunday)

Compliance / Onboarding

  • Background check required
  • Fingerprinting completed onsite on the first day
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check required within 30 days of start
  • HHS/OIG check required within 30 days of start
  • Unit-specific competency exam required
  • Core Parts I, II, and III required and updated annually
  • Physical exam required and updated annually
  • Fit mask completed onsite during orientation
  • Tdap required within 10 years of start
  • TB clearance required
  • TB questionnaire required and updated annually
  • Drug screen required
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season
  • COVID vaccination not required

Additional Notes

  • RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and are limited to 5 days
  • Previous employees of the facility are not eligible for contract positions for 1 year after termination
