Description

PACU RN

Overview

  • Travel/contract RN position in Saint Paul, Minnesota
  • Specialty: PACU / Pre-Op / Phase 2
  • 12-week assignment
  • Day shift, 4x12s
  • Start times listed: 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00
  • Patient ratio: 1:1
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Floating required within scope between two locations in the same hospital
  • Weekend coverage as needed per unit needs

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Minnesota
  • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
  • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic

Schedule / Assignment Details

  • Guaranteed hours are subject to client cancellation of up to 3 shifts without penalty
  • Block scheduling is not available
  • Local candidates are not accepted within a 100-mile radius
  • Requested time off should ideally be no more than 5 days

Additional Notes

  • Scrubs are provided by the unit
  • Parking is available at additional cost after the first day
  • A criminal background check is required
  • Pre-start health and compliance items include physical exam, Tdap, TB screening, MMR immunity, hepatitis B status, varicella immunity, and respiratory safety clearance
  • Preorientation modules must be completed before start
  • References are not required for client clearance
  • Skills checklist is required annually
