Job Overview
- Location: Rochester, New York
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
- Weekly hours: 36
- Schedule: Will rotate between acute and LTC care; every other weekend
- Call: Nights if possible, 1 every other week
- Local policy: No local candidates within 50 miles
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New York
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Experience in a Critical Care setting
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Experience with Epic
Clinical Skills / Procedures
- ABG sampling
- Ventilator management
- Patient assessment
- Pulmonary hygiene
- Airway management including intubation assist, extubation, tracheostomy suctioning, and related suctioning/airway placement
- Nebulizer therapy
- Oxygen therapy including HFNC
- Ventilator support including BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation

- NKV330 NIV device
- Airvo2
- Dream machines
- V30s

- CHF
