ER Nurse
Location

Schedule
- Night shift, 3x12 hours
- 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment
- Every other weekend
- Every other holiday, if needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- TNCC
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Clinical Skills
- IV therapy, including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
- IV vasopressors
- CPAP/BiPAP
- Ventilator management
- Stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI care
- Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
- Adult and pediatric emergency care, including gunshot wounds and ortho trauma
- Isolation precautions
- Triage
- Pediatric spinal cord injury care
Unit Details
- Adult ER
- Patient ratio: 1:5
- Cares for adults, geriatrics, and all emergency-type diagnoses
- Floating required within skillset
Additional Notes
- Requests for time off or special scheduling must be submitted with the application
- The client may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract without incurring charges for canceled hours
- Scrub color: navy blue and white combination
