Description
Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Easton, Maryland
- Start date: 9/21/2026
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 per week
- Shift: rotating days/mids; primary need is day shift
- Schedule options accepted: 3x12 or 4x12
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays required as scheduled
- Floating may be required within the specialty and to sister emergency departments
- On-call shifts are not required
- Patient population: infant through geriatric
- Typical ratio: 1:4, may increase to 1:5 with lower acuity
- Fast-paced emergency department with complex diagnoses
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of emergency department experience
- Emergency Department experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIH
- CPI, completed during onboarding
- First-time traveler accepted
Additional Requirements
- Two supervisory references within the past year
- Employment application/resume completed within 30 days of start
- Verification of the previous 5 years of employment history
- Verification of at least 2 years of hospital or equivalent acute care experience in the position, within the last 5 years
- Government-issued photo ID
- I-9 and E-Verify documentation
- Background check and state exclusion screening
- Drug screening
- Health screening and immunization documentation
- Fit testing
- Pass/fail testing and competency exams
- Signed job description, confidentiality agreement, dress code review, badge application, and other onboarding documents before start
Orientation and Training
- Orientation is held on site
- Scrubs or business casual are allowed for orientation
- Scrub color: royal blue
- RN medication exam and arrhythmia/EKG exam are taken at orientation
- CPI module must be completed before orientation

- All age ranges are cared for, from infant to geriatric
