Description
ICU Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Charlottesville, Virginia
- Night shift: 19:00–07:00
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Unit Setting
- Float pool assignment across ICU and intermediate care areas, including:
- Medical ICU
- Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU
- Coronary Care Unit
- Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1)
- Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU
- Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit (COVID)
- Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit
- Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit
- Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit
- ED boarders
Schedule Expectations
- Every other weekend
- Every other holiday
- Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays
- Thanksgiving, Black Friday, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day are worked
- Up to 40 hours of time off may be approved
- No time off can be approved during the first 2 weeks
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience with Epic
- Must adhere to float policy
Additional Notes
- Candidate will be sent for clinical review before offer
- Pass/fail testing applies to adult inpatient RN positions during orientation
