Description
Endoscopy RN
Job Overview
- Location: Rochester, New York
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 8 weeks
- Shift: Day, 4x10 hours
- Hours per day: 10
- Hours per week: 40
- Schedule notes: Varying day off based on department needs; same day off every week or Monday/Friday cannot be guaranteed
- On-call: Weeknights, weekends, and holidays, approximately 4–6 shifts per month
- Float requirement: May float to PreAn/PACU if needed
- Local candidates: Must live more than 75 miles away
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Scrubs: Navy or white
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Endoscopy experience within the last year
- 1 year of endoscopy experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Phlebotomy competency
- Experience with Epic
Unit Details
- Procedural-based endoscopy setting
- Common patient diagnoses include pancreatic, lung, colon, and gastric cancer; polyps; Barrett’s esophagus; and CBD stones/strictures/cancer
- Procedures include EUS, ERCP, navigational bronchoscopy, EBUS, manometry, and Fibroscan
- Equipment includes ERBE, Olympus scopes/processors, Super-D, Bravo, VCE, and manometry
