Description
Operating Room RN
Job Overview
- Employment type: Travel
- Location: Reston, Virginia
- Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
Preferred Experience
- Experience across surgical specialties including orthopedics, neuro, general/GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic
- Expert spine and orthopedic skills
Unit Details
- Operating room with 18 beds
- Staffed by RNs, surgical techs, charge RN, service line experts/support, and OR support technicians
- Covers scrub and circulator roles for 18 rooms
- Night shift includes scrub and circulator trauma team with additional on-call teams
Clinical Focus
- Spinal fusion
- Total joint replacements
- Orthopedic trauma
- DaVinci robot procedures
Schedule / Coverage
- Weekends and nights may be needed to cover vacancies
- On-call required, approximately four 12-hour shifts per 8-week schedule
Additional Notes
- Floating may include OB OR
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Team player preferred
