Neurophysiology Technologist I
Job Overview
- Travel clinical-allied role in Rochester, Minnesota
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift
- Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week
- Includes EEG work with on-call rotation and approximately every 6th weekend coverage
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Applied Science or a related science
- Current Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist, Clinical Neurophysiology Technologist graduate, or current CNT student status
- EEG or CLTM registry
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Key Responsibilities
- Perform EEGs, evoked potentials, autonomic studies, and nerve conduction studies
- Prepare patients, acquire data, and maintain a safe testing environment
- Support patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and other inpatient settings
- Monitor and maintain EEG recordings for surgical, adult, and pediatric patients
- Respond to seizures, troubleshoot equipment, assist with SPECT injections, and provide shift reports
- Serve as a liaison between nurses and physicians
- Mentor student technologists
Skills and Experience Needed
- Competency in neurodiagnostic procedural testing
- Electrode application for adult and pediatric EEGs using standard 10-20 or 10-10 systems
- Strong communication skills, including verbal and written communication
- Leadership ability
- Organizational skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and work independently
- Computer skills
