Description

MS/Tele RN Travel Contract

Location

  • Chesapeake, Virginia

Schedule

  • Night shift
  • 4x12 hours
  • 48 hours per week
  • Every other weekend, floating, and holidays are required
  • Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays
  • Preferred schedule must be indicated at submission

Assignment Details

  • Medical-surgical/telemetry post-op unit
  • Cares for orthopedic, spinal surgery, bariatric surgery, and colorectal surgery patients
  • Also cares for Level III trauma patients and medical-surgical overflow as census permits
  • Unit can monitor up to 8 telemetry patients
  • Typical patient ratio is 1:7

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Virginia
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • Experience with Epic

Required Certifications

  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association

Additional Requirements

  • Must be fully comfortable with the patient ratios before submission
  • Longer assignments through January 9, 2027 are available
  • No license or background hits will be considered
  • Submission must include:
    • Completed cover sheet
    • Current NURSYS report
    • All requested time off listed on the cover sheet
