Respiratory Therapist Travel/Contract Job
Overview
- Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Every other weekend
- Time off: All requested time off must be submitted with the application and approved before an offer
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New Jersey
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (1.5 years of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NBRC
Preferred Qualifications
- PICU/NICU experience
- ACLS
- PALS
- NRP
Patient Population
- Adult and pediatric patients
Float Expectations
- May float between PICU, Emergency Department, and Adult Critical Care
- May also float to additional units based on skill set and hospital needs
Required Clinical Skills
- Blood gas collection
- Ventilator initiation and management
- BiPAP initiation and management
- High-flow therapy initiation and management
- Code response
- In-house patient transport
- Medication administration
- Chest physiotherapy
Required Equipment Experience
- Servo-I
- Servo-U
- V60 BiPAP
Charting
- EPIC
Travel Experience
- First-time travelers accepted
