Description
ICU RN Travel Contract
Overview
- Travel/contract ICU/PCU float RN role in Roanoke, Virginia
- Night shift: 3x12s, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Must be comfortable working all ICU and PCU units
- May float multiple times per shift, up to every 4 hours
- Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week block
- Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted within radius rules
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- 1 year of ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Experience at a large Level 1 or Level 2 facility
- Experience with Epic
Clinical Skills
- Arterial line management
- Central line and PICC line care
- Blood product administration
- BiPAP and CPAP management
- Ventilated patient care
- Continuous IV sedation administration
- Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Surgical wound care with drains or wound vacs
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- IV insulin protocol adherence
Compliance and Onboarding
- Driver’s license or state ID required within 48 hours of signing
- E-Verify or attestation required
- 7-year background check required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check required
- HHS/OIG check required
- Education verification of highest earned degree required
- NURSYS verification required for RNs
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask testing within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire required
- Drug screen within 30 days of start
- Two clinical references required
- Resume/application required
- Skills checklist required
Health Documentation
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation required
