Description

Registered Respiratory Therapist

Location

  • Fort Wayne, Indiana

Contract

  • 13 weeks
  • 36 hours per week
  • 12-hour evening shifts

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • NRP certification
  • 5 years of experience preferred as a credentialed respiratory care practitioner
  • Adult intubation skill

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic respiratory care across patient populations
  • Review and maintain care plans
  • Perform patient evaluations and adjust care as needed
  • Support distressed newborn and C-section care

Schedule

  • Will not work alone
  • Call as needed
  • Every other weekend
  • No floating

Unit Details

  • 250-bed hospital
  • 12-bed ICU

Training

  • Up to 3 weeks of department-specific training
  • Required orientation includes assigned trainer and preceptor check-off
  • 8 hours of non-billable orientation
