RRT
Overview
- Travel/Contract assignment in Baltimore, Maryland
- 13-week contract
- Night shift: 4x12 hours, 18:30–7:00
- 48 hours per week
- No on-call requirement
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage expected
- Float between Adult and NICU
- Local rate applies within 60 miles of the facility
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Maryland
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- CRT
- Experience in a Critical Care setting
- Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- NICU experience
- ED experience
- ACLS
Clinical Responsibilities
- Airway management and suctioning
- Extubation
- Nasal and oral airway placement and suctioning
- Pulmonary hygiene
- Sputum specimen collection
- Tracheostomy suctioning
- ABG interpretation
- Assist in high-risk delivery
- Umbilical blood gases
- Comfortable drawing and analyzing ABGs
Skills and Equipment
- Ventilators: Draeger V500, Servo U
- Skills listed for success include aerosol treatments, HFNC, Trach collar, BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Cerner charting
