Description
Crit Care ICU
Overview
- Contract role
- 12hr Night Shift
- 36 hours per week
- 13 weeks
Facility and unit
- Nursing facility
- 11-bed ICU
- Lower acuity ICU
- Patient population includes General ICU, Stroke(TNK), COVID, Medical, Surgical, Behavioral Health, Overdoses, post cardiac arrest, and ventilator patients
- The unit has 1:2-3 acuity-based ratios on days and nights
- The role must be comfortable floating to the Cardiac unit
Required qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
Unit support
- CNA support with 1:7 ratio
- Phlebotomy available for peripheral blood draws
- IV/VAT team available during dayshift Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- RT available 24/7
- Hospitalist available 24/7
- ICU Educator available
- OT, PT, and ST available on weekdays and with variability on weekends
- Intensivist coverage from 0600-1800
- eICU coverage from 1800-0600
Scheduling
- Weekend rotation every other weekend
- Time off requests up to 7 days
- On-call schedule varies based on unit needs
- Holiday expectations vary based on unit need
