Description
CDI Specialist
Overview
- Remote role; can work from anywhere within the U.S.
- Focuses on inpatient clinical documentation integrity, including concurrent and retrospective medical record review to support accurate coding and documentation quality.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Minnesota
- 2 years of Clinical Document Improvement Specialist experience
- Clinical Document Improvement Specialist experience within the last year
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- CDIP or CCDS
Schedule
- Sun–Thurs schedule
- Mandatory overtime expected
- May be required to work holidays that fall on the scheduled workdays
- Onboarding is Mon–Fri for approximately 3–4 weeks before switching to the regular schedule
