Description
Registered Nurse Acute Care
Role
Registered Nurse (RN) in the Acute Care unit.
Location
Hot Springs, South Dakota

Schedule
12-hour varied shifts, 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Dakota
- Acute Care (1 year of experience)
- Acute Care experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior acute care or hospital nursing experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective nursing care in accordance with the South Dakota Nurse Practice Act, facility policies, and professional standards.
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, fluids, and respiratory treatments as prescribed.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes.
- Teach patients and families about medications, treatments, and discharge care.
- Prioritize tasks to provide timely patient care.
- Follow infection control and safety policies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to assigned staff.
- Assist in orientation and training of new team members.
- Participate in continuing education.
- Support teamwork and a collaborative work culture.
