Description
Certified Surgical Technologist
Overview
- Travel assignment in Jasper, Indiana
- Primary location: DMMC Surgery
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Start: ASAP
- Guaranteed hours: 40 per week
- No local candidates within a 40-mile radius
Schedule
- Preference is 10-hour shifts, 0830-1900
- Also accepts 9-hour shifts, 0930-1900, at 36 hours/week
- Also accepts 8-hour shifts, 1030-1900, at 40 hours/week
- Weekend required
- Holiday required
- On-call required with 30-minute call back
- Call occurs about 8 times in a 6-week period
- Call may be taken as a full weekend together or separately
- Friday call runs from end of shift until 0630 the next morning
- Saturday and Sunday call runs 0630-0630
- Holiday call is needed on Thanksgiving and Christmas
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist
- Certified Surgical Technologist (2 years of experience)
- Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- Associate degree or certificate
- Experience with total joint surgery procedures
- Experience with the da Vinci surgical robot
- Experience with orthospine surgery
- Experience with general surgery
- Experience with urology procedures
- Experience with gynecology procedures
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong experience in total joints, Davinci, spine, general, Urology, and GYN
- Hard worker
- Resilient and manages change well
- Social candidates
Unit Information
- 6 ORs
- Average 350-400 cases per month
Additional Notes
- Float requirement: No
- Scrubs are provided
- 3 call-ins can result in termination
- COVID-19 vaccine not required, subject to change
- GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of orientation
- Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week except during holidays when the unit is closed
- 36-hour cancellation clause within a 13-week contract
