Description
ER RN
Overview
- ER/ED in Savannah, Georgia
- 13–14 week assignment
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour day shifts
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
- No call
- No floating
- Navy or white scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Active license at time of submission
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- At least 1 completed travel assignment
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
Clinical Setting
- Not a trauma level facility
- STEMI and Stroke Center
- Fast Track: Yes
- Separate triage area: Yes
- ER holds are mixed within the ER
- No seclusion rooms
- In-house security 24/7, housed in the ER
- Average volume: 150 patients per day
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4
- Common patient types: general
- Common drips range from basic to ICU level
- ED physician/mid-levels present
- Charge nurse does not take an assignment
- PCTs and paramedics support the unit
- RT is in the ER 24/7 and handles ABGs, breathing treatments, EKGs, and listed respiratory equipment
- Monitor techs are present; RNs read their own strips
- Spacelabs monitors
- X-ray/CT available in the ER; transport is provided unless the patient needs monitoring
- Phlebotomy is done by RNs
Scheduling and Onboarding
- Travelers are scheduled to meet department needs
- Block scheduling may be accommodated if possible
- Weekly orientation
- Monday start dates only, or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday
- Onboarding must be completed at least 7 calendar days before start date
Submission Notes
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Current NURSYS report required at submission
- Submission must include full availability, all requested time off, and a start date aligned with compliance timelines
- Current references must be in the same specialty/modality
- Resume must include beds and trauma level for all facilities worked in the past 3 years, employment type, and number of shifts worked per month if PRN
