Description
Home Health RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Rosedale, Maryland
- Home health assignment with home visits and periodic office meetings
- Average patient load: 5-8 patients per day
- Territory includes Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and Harford County
- Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Schedule
- Day shift, 5x8 hours
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Weekend rotation: 1 weekend per month
- On-call: 10 days per month, with potential additional coverage for staffing needs
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Home Health experience within the last year
- 1 year of Home Health experience
- Hospice experience
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Driver's License
- Must have reliable transportation
- Agency-required liability insurance
- Must have license in hand
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Oasis if the candidate has used it within the last 6 months
Clinical / Work Expectations
- Provides and directs home nursing care according to physician orders and agency policies
- Supervises and evaluates Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses
- Types of cases include Start of Care, Wound Care, and Follow-up Visits
- Productivity expectation: 30 points per week
- Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
- Compensation is based on travel from patient home to patient home; commute to the first and last patient is not billable
Charting / Systems
- Must be proficient with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) and have used it within the last 6 months
- Microsoft Teams
