Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Job Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides and administers all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment under supervision, following department policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy under medical direction for patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies.
• Assist with intubation and manage ventilator set-up and operation.
• Collect and evaluate patient information, including disease education and coordination with other healthcare professionals.
• Develop rapport and mutual respect with patients, caregivers, and team members to support treatment goals.
• Educate patients and caregivers based on identified needs in an understandable manner.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, push, and pull a minimum of 5 lbs.
• Stand for at least 1 hour per day.
